02 / BACKGROUND REMOVAL
Product background removal
for ecommerce catalogues.
Our background removal service prepares single images and bulk product-photo batches for online stores, catalogues and creative teams. Choose a clean white background or transparent output, with careful attention to edges, internal openings and the product’s original shape.

THE FINISH YOU NEED
Background removal with attention to detail.
- White or transparent backgrounds
- Clean edges and interior cut-outs
- Consistent crop and alignment
- Optional shadows and retouching
PREPARE YOUR PROJECT
What to send
Send your original images and specify the required background, dimensions, crop, and intended marketplace. Hair, fur, glass and reflective products may require additional masking.
Your finished files
Receive JPG files for solid backgrounds or PNG files for transparency. Editable PSD output can be included by agreement.
REAL EDITING EXAMPLE / VINTAGE FAN
A clean background. The original product character.
This front-view example shows a vintage fan separated from its marked studio backdrop. The visible cable is removed, while the fine grille wires, blades, branding and age-related surface wear remain visible. A grounding shadow keeps the product connected to the white background.

These supplied examples form part of a 1,102-image ecommerce project. The full case study explains the brief, editing process and wider revision work.
CHOOSE YOUR BACKGROUND
White, transparent or a specified colour?
A white background creates a consistent canvas for a product catalogue. A transparent background lets your design team place the cut-out onto different layouts without a surrounding rectangle. If you need a brand colour instead, provide the exact colour reference with your brief.
Choose JPG for a solid background and PNG for transparency. If your team needs to adjust the separation later, request an editable PSD when the project is quoted. Tell us whether you need multiple versions of each image so the delivery includes the right files.
PLAN YOUR CATALOGUE
Define the finish before the batch starts.
Send representative images covering your product range, including any difficult edges. Agree the canvas size, crop, alignment and space around each product. Include an approved reference when the new images need to match an existing catalogue.
Background removal does not automatically include surface cleanup, colour correction or a new shadow. List those treatments separately so we can assess them and quote accurately. For delicate hair, fur, glass or translucent materials, sample files help determine whether masking is needed.

BACKGROUND REMOVAL QUESTIONS
Plan a consistent finish for your product listings.
Send representative files for advice on scope, output and a confirmed quote.
Can I request white and transparent backgrounds?
Yes. Tell us which versions you need before work starts. Transparent backgrounds need a format that supports transparency, such as PNG or an agreed layered file.
How are hair, fur and glass handled?
These edges may need masking and additional detail work. Send sample files so we can assess the approach and include the work in your quote.
Can you match a whole catalogue?
Share an approved reference for the background, crop, alignment and canvas size. We use those instructions to guide the image set and future batches.
